Sometimes one questions and wonders about the impact of Black Consciousness (BC) on the psyche, especially of black men.
Here is an advocate of BC. He was part of the group and generation that conceptualized the ‘Asispin’elokshini’ anti-crime campaign.
As seasoned professional, he chooses to stay among his people in the township.
But fear reigns. He is afraid that one day they will break into his home. And they do.
It is normal now to die for a cellphone or large screen TV.
He was a living example of BC. His life was a manifestation and expression of his ideals: pro-Black.
And this happens.
Confounding and confusing. One does not know what to think.
They say Death is the final stage of Life. But does a man have to die this way?
